- Story Text: Could there be an Italian election without a porn star? Milly D'Abrraccio prides herself as having the best bum in the Socialist Party and her election posters prove it as she runs as candidate for Rome city hall.
Porn star Milly D'Abbraccio didn't want to be just another smiling face when she entered politics, so her campaign posters make a point of showing her other end.
In a campaign admittedly directed at her mostly male fan base, the veteran of the adult entertainment industry is running for Rome city hall with Italy's socialist party -- a first step, she hopes, to a distinguished career in European politics.
"I'll let you see' D'Abbraccio told Reuters eager to show off what she describes as her best asset.
"This side is the institutional side of the manifesto - very Hillary Clinton and very serious. This side shows my bottom and we have written 'Enough of all these ar++holes' she said.
D'Abbraccio says Italians are tired of seeing all the same faces, they want something new.
"Because everyone is so fed up with all these politicians' faces, governments change but there are always the same people there, they change the names of the parties but it's always the same people. Everyone promises alot but nothing good comes of it - people are just fed up" she said speaking from her glitzy sitting room in an apartment in Rome.
Her campaign promise? If she has the power, D'Abbracio hopes to set up a red light centre for strip clubs, erotic discos and sex shops called "Love City" -- just kilometres (miles) away from Vatican City.
"I imagine it at the gates of Rome, like a huge shopping centre where inside would be erotic discos, sexy shops, hardcore cinema, lap dancing, gay clubs, everything- drag queens, everything that could be needed for erotic and sexual fun" she said smiling.
D'Abbraccio isn't the first adult entertainer to dip her toes into Italian politics. Ilona Staller, known as "La Cicciolina", sat in parliament in the 1980s and was famous for her impromptu stripteases. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
