- Story Text: Some of Usain Bolt's biggest fans were left crowding around battery-powered radios at his primary school when a power cut struck as they were watching a TV broadcast of him defending his Olympic 100m final.
Children and some of Bolt's former classmates and teachers at Waldensia Primary School in Trelawny, northern Jamaica, gathered to watch the live broadcast on Sunday (August 5), but the screen suddenly went black so people ran for the radios.
When Bolt crossed the line first in a new Olympic record of 9.63 -- the second fastest time in history after his own world record of 9.58 -- everyone jumped and danced for joy. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
