- Story Text: Vietnamese Boat people trying to reach Hong Kong are now being incarcerated in detention camps in the colony. They had previously been allowed to join the local labour market, but Hong Kong authorities are now refusing them the status of true refugees. In the Chi Ma Wan refugee camp, men and women who fled the Vietnamese communist regime now carry out basic tasks under guards' supervision. Hong Kong authorities have decided to hold them in the camps until other nations agree to re-settle them.
