- Story Text: On Sunday (October 2) Yevhenia, the only daughter of the former Ukraine's prime minister Yulia Timoshenko, walked down the aisle with the British rock musician and market stall holder Sean Carr.
The ceremony, attended by 150 guests and almost as many journalists, took place in Kiev Vydubichsky monastery.
Yulia Timoshenko walked into the monastery's gates with Sean Carr, followed by Yevhenia and her father Olexander Timoshenko.
"I can't express what I feel" - said Yulia Timoshenko before the ceremony. Answering the question what will be her wedding gift to the couple she answered "Love."
After the ceremony the couple drank champagne and posed for cameras on the embankment of Dnepr river.
Yevhenia and Sean met in an Egyptian Red Sea resort bar in 2004. Some reports say Yevhenia fell for the long-haired and tattooed 36-year-old biker from Leeds and chased his friends to get his telephone number - something she has since denied. They met later in London, where Yevhenia was studying at the time.
Five months after they met Sean Carr travelled to Ukraine. It was at the height of the Orange Revolution, weeks of popular protests which led to a Supreme Court decision to re-run a presidential election ruled to have been rigged.
The day after he arrived he met his future mother-in-law - a charismatic politician Yulia Timoshenko, who soon became new Ukraine's prime minister - on a stage, addressing a huge crowd of the opposition supporters.
At first, as Sean Carr admitted later, he was terrified of his future mother-in-law but he now calls her "mama".
The couple decided to live in Ukraine, where Sean has already performed with his heavy metal band Death Valley Screamers.
His rock career soared as the band's first CD, "Just Crazy", was released in Ukraine in September.
While many Ukrainians seem surprised by Yevhenia Tymoshenko's unusual choice, she stresses their feelings are mutual. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
