12.44.53 MANDELA SPEECH ...when I was in prison,ì
we were isolated from one another. I was in aì
section where we were about 20 & the majority ofì
the prisoners, close to a 1000 were in anotherì
section & they did not allow us to meet. After Iì
spent 6 years on the island, I met in the Adminì
offices, a prisoner from the other section & heì
then said to me: Who are you?...Where do you comeì
from?...What organisation do you belong to?...
How long have you been here?...he was beginning toì
walk away. I then ask, Now who are you?...to whichì
organisation do you belong? He said the ANC.ì
[LAUGHTER]
12.46.39 I had been on the island for 6 years heì
had been there for 5 years; he had never heard ofì
me & that is why I take exception to the fact thatì
the MC has not introduced me [LAUGHTER]
12.47.40 ...it is with great pride & optimism thatì
I stand before you today...
12.49.26 ...we have started bnuilding the processì
of building a better life for all...
12.49.51 ...ANC has been working hard to introduceì
the changes people have been voting for GIVINGì
EXAMPLES OF CHANGES
12.50.56 ...we are proud of our achievements...butì
the ANC is honest enough to acknowledge that moreì
could have been done.
12.51.36 The local gorv elections give us a chanceì
to put this right. We inherited a system whereì
there was no infrastructure in regard toì
services...
12..53.50 ...by voting in the November elections
every local community will get a voice in gorv. Atì
last communities will have the power to work withì
the ANC-lead national gorv to make the RDP workì
for them...
12.55.18 ...when you choose your candidates, theyì
should be people you can rely on. They must beì
people who understand your problems, care aboutì
your future & know how to listen...

12.57.36 CUTAWAY SEXWALE LISTENING
12.59.04 ...familiarity breeds contempt. Many ofì
you will look at these men & women here & becauseì
you see them every day you are going to think thatì
they do not deserve the position of leadership inì
your community...
13.00.03 DEVELOP SELF-CONFIDENCE TALENTS LYINGì
BURIED INSIDE COME OUT & FLOURISH WHEN GIVEN THEì
OPPORTUNITY
13.00.32 TELLING ANOTHER STORY
13.04.08 CUTAWAY PRESS
13.04.43 ...the spirit of Masakhane has beenì
welcomed far & wide...
13.04.53 ...don't waste your vote on those with noì
clear plans for the future. Now that we areì
heading for the election, mickey mouse politicalì
parties are now emerging...be very careful how youì
excercise your votes... - Copyright Holder: Visnews
