- Story Text: Security in Manila remained tight as foreign ministers from the Association of the South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and their dialogue partners hold the last day of their meeting on Monday (August 7).
Rerouted traffic schemes, increased security checks and army patrols are in place in the surrounding areas where the 10-member organization will meet with 17 other countries including Australia, China, India, Japan, Russia, North and South Korea and the United State for the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
The 27 nations are expected to discuss North Korea's nuclear missile testing in the forum, following various multilateral discussions between ASEAN and dialogue partners the day before. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
