The director will like it but the editor will say, no I don't think it's right, it should be like this, and then it goes through a screening and it goes through a producer. So there's multiple masters which is frightening. Unless I work with a person like Danny Boyle who actually owns it. He says, 'No, I like this. I'm sure everybody likes it. Everyone will like this one.' So I like to work with people who can stand by the work."

- Story Text: Indian composer and musician A.R. Rahman visited London on Monday (July 25) to announce a series of live shows, titled the "Intimate Tour".
Having toured for "almost 20 years" with a large set, Rahman has decided to stop feeling the "tension" that the production entailed, and create an intimate environment where he "can almost speak (to the audience)".
Rahman is one of the world's most prolific composers. The enormous success of his first Hindi venture was followed by the chart-topping soundtrack albums of films such as 'Bombay' (1995), 'Dil Se' (1998), 'Taal' (1999), 'Zubeidaa' (2001) and the Oscar nominated film 'Lagaan - Once Upon A Time In India' (2001).
Rahman then rose to international prominence with his work on the film score for Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire', for which he won a Golden Globe, two Oscars and two Grammys.
Rahman recounted how he enjoyed collaborating with Boyle, who, unlike other directors, "actually owns (their film)."
Normally, he explained, there are "multiple masters" which leads to doubt. "Boyle says, 'No, I like this. I'm sure everybody likes it. Everyone will like this one.' So I like to work with people who can stand by the work."
Rahman told Reuters that he is currently working on a romantic musical film called "99 Songs", the first for which he has written the story, alongside the soundtrack and film score.
"'99 Songs' is about self discovery. It's a love story. It's about art. It's finding a thread, finding a way to awaken in a way things which could be better. So it's complex but it's yet simple."
