- Story Text: Barcelona's players celebrated with thousand of excited fans on Monday (May 23), a day after a ten-man azurgrana retained the King's Cup title with a 2-0 victory over Sevilla to complete a domestic double thanks to extra-time goals by Jordi Alba and Neymar at the Vicente Calderon stadium on Sunday (May 22).
On May 14 the Catalan club secured the La Liga trophy with a crushing 0-3 win over Granada.
Jubilant fans cheered their idols with banners and flags during the celebration which was accompanied by a spectacle of music, lights and fireworks at then Nou Camp.
"We have won a lot but we want to win more and make history. We will be back next year. Long live Barca, long live Catalonia, Long live Fuentealbilla," Barcelona Captain Andres Iniesta said when he took the stage.
FC Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique Martinez, accompanied by his staff and players, thanked the fans for the support throughout the season.
"I think it has been a long, tough demanding season, but with a team of players of this level, a team of assistants who have been completely involved, I think we have performed and gone ahead in an outstanding manner and you have been outstanding cheering us on and supporting the team," he said.
Defender Gerard Pique agreed with his coach saying the season had been tough but took the opportunity to point out that his team had won the King's Cup title with 10 men.
"I just want to tell you that there are complaints because people say we always play against 10 men, but yesterday there were ten of us and what has happened? We won again," he said.
Brazilian forward Neymar expressed his delight to the fans and thanked them for their support.
"We have done everything to get to get two cups, the Kings Cup and the La Liga trophy are here. Thanks for sharing another year. Thanks for everything. I am very happy about this club and today I am Barca. Long live Catalonia, long live Barca!" he said.
Rafinha, Vermaelen, Luis Suarez and Messi were not present at the celebration.
