INCLUDES SLOW-MOTION REPLAYS OF GOALS. "A very, very wet pitch... conditions rather similar to 1972 at Munich. It's been raining quite hard as you would have seen if you were watching the athletics and you can see there's water on the pitch and it's gong to be in favour of attackers....... picked up by Lauck. Hoffman is coming in and OH....he hit the post in the first minute of the Olympic final.....Maszczyk zipping up to face and coming in and put in by Schade. Really a classic move on a pitch like this...the ball coming across the areas and back again and the Poles going both ways at once. Seven minutes of the match gone....look at it. The Poles don't know where they are...they're turning one way and then the other. They've got the men pulled out and the cross is thumped home by the unmarked Schade. "Kurbjuweit popping up all over the place....ooh, he did well....Schade...Riediger....Hoffman....OH. Goal..what a beautifully constructed goal. No wonder the East German bench is up on their feet and the players are ecstatic about it. That really was a lovely goal. Four players involved....Kurbjuweit right at the start, the ball swinging about the place. The final ball coming to Hoffman who this time was about a foot further over than his shot in the first minute and Tomaszewski beaten to the wide. Among the spectators...the Duck of Edinburgh.......(CHEER)...Lato....two-one...(CHEERS). Szarmach....(CHEERING).. one of the most exhilarating pieces of football in the match." "Poland still trying to build with patience....Schade....and Hafner has a chance here. He's going in on his own round Zmuda and that surely means that we are to have a new name on the Olympic football charter. East Germany now leading by three to one." "Into the final seconds of this muddy but very, very good final. It's been a credit to the game of football...it's been played at a standard suitable for two such experienced sides...(WHISTLE)...an it has been won by East Germany."
