- Story Text:U.S. President Donald Trump has made the case several times that he deserves to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on North Korea and Syria, but has complained he probably would never get the honor.
"They gave it to Obama. He didn't even know what he got it for," Trump has said.
He said Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had given him "the most beautiful copy" of a letter in which Abe nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize for opening talks and easing tensions with North Korea.
A wide range of people can nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize, including members of parliaments and governments, heads of state, university professors of history, social sciences or law and past Nobel Peace Prize laureates, among others. - Copyright Holder: POOL (CAN SELL)
