- Story Text: Three U.S. tourists and a Costa Rican were killed when a tractor trailer collided with their van in a national park in the Central American country late on Friday (October 18).
Local media reported that Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Police released the names of the U.S. victims as Andrew and Jennifer Niemiec, and Steven Williams.
The Costa Rican citizen who died was reportedly the van's driver.
Local media also reported the driver of the tractor trailer was given a breathalyzer test by local authorities and tested positive for alcohol-impairment.
