- Story Text: London and parts of the UK sweltered on Monday (July 19) as the heatwave continued, with parts of the country expected to experience the hottest day of the year so far.
The heatwave comes as Europe and North America experiences a summer of extreme weather.
Londoners enjoyed the hot weather at a park near Tower bridge, as well as a small beach on the South bank of the river Thames.
The hot weather is expected to continue into the week, according to the UK Met office.
