You know, it's a homage to so many, you know, Hong Kong action, martial arts action, wuxia films of, you know, generations past. And it's such a love letter to martial arts. But it's also just an incredibly human story told by the incredible Destin Daniel Cretton and who's on my left. He's just such an incredible filmmaker and has a wonderful ability to tell a very intimate story about family, about self-discovery, about self-acceptance, all you know, with the backdrop of this massive marvel, blockbuster spectacle. But the whole time, you know, keeping it real and keeping it relatable is what makes us invest in that character in this story.†ACTOR BENEDICT WONG, ACTOR MICHELLE YEOH, LIU, ACTOR SANDRA OH AND CRETTON POSING FOR PHOTOS OH AND LIU POSING FOR PHOTOS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTOR, SIMU LIU, SAYING: “I can tell you there were some very real challenges. I was in the best shape of my life and then we shut down for four months and then, you know, they told me I was coming back and my first week back, they were like, you're going to do another shirtless scene. And I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa hang on a second. I am not in the same shape as I was four months ago, you know, because when you shut down for a week, a week and a half, you're like, OK, I better stay in shape just in case. And then, you know, a week and a half terms of three weeks urns into the three months and you start loosening up a bit because you're like, all right, maybe I'm going to have a burger, maybe I'm going to have a few burgers and surprise and yeah. Yeah, it was a very rude awakening to have to then get, like, double back and work double hard to get back into shape.†LIU AND ACTOR FLORIAN MUNTEANU ON CARPET AKWAFINA POSING FOR PHOTOS WONG TALKING TO THE MEDIA (SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTOR, BENEDICT WONG, SAYING: “I'm absolutely overwhelmed by it. It's amazing, it's all about when a culture is given an opportunity and a platform like this within Marvel. Especially within Marvel Studios that has, you know, everything in their arsenal to make incredible films. You know, we've got a fantastic story, an amazing director. And, you know, I'm just holding onto the coattails of these amazing actors, you know, and yeah, definitely in the top five, I think.†VARIOUS OF ACTOR FALA CHEN POSING FOR PHOTOS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTOR, FALA CHEN, SAYING: “It's the first time on the carpet in London when the weather's lovely. I'm like, oh my God, it's this summer? But, you know, people are so warm here. People are so excited to see the film and it's just lovely to be here.†CRETTON TALKING SELFIE WITH FAN (SOUNDBITE) (English) DIRECTOR, DESTIN DANIEL CRETTON, SAYING: “Over the course of two years, we have, you know, like everybody in the past two years, we had challenges thrown at us every day. I think one of the big challenges of a movie this size is remembering to keep the intimacy and the characters and their relationships as important as the big spectacle things that we're doing. And I'm really happy with the way that the team was able to weave those together.†VARIOUS OF MUNTEANU TALKING TO MEDIA (SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTOR, FLORIAN MUNTEANU, SAYING: “Well, first of all, I feel like it's action-packed, martial arts-inspired, and the fight scenes are out of this world. I feel like you've never seen something like that before. But other than that, I feel like this movie shares and has a lot of heart so I can't wait for people to see it.†YEOH TALKING TO THE MEDIA (SOUNDBITE) (English) MICHELLE YEOH, SAYING ABOUT HER FAVOURITE SCENE TO FILM: “Well, I have to be biased because I think it’s the scene where I am teaching Shang Chi how to find himself, to open his fists and find his heart and find his being. And we had a good time, you know, teaching him, smacking him.†SINGER AND PRESENTER MYLEENE KLASS POSING FOR PHOTOS EXTERIOR OR THEATER

Actor Benedict Wong, who returns as his previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character Wong, spoke about the mostly Asian cast and its importance in representation.
''It's amazing, it's all about when a culture is given an opportunity and the platform like this within Marvel.''
