I think there's a lot of films you could look at where people are using magical powers, and it's - let's be honest, there's a lot of similarities in the way they do it. But with Rosamund there's something oddly strange and wonderful about how this power is coming out of her. And it's it really affects her physically and really believe it. So, she's done a wonderful job." WHITE FLASH (SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTRESS ROSAMUND PIKE AND DANIEL HENNEY SAYING: ROSAMUND: "It's all in the tiny detail, really. I think it sells it or not." DANIEL: "I loved that it almost looks painful at times." ROSAMUND: "I think, yes, it's got to be emotionally connected because, because Robert Jordan writes about it, the one power, almost like a drug."

- Story Text: After two years of filming in secrecy, "The Wheel of Time" fantasy series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on Friday (November 19).
"It feels kind of like the kids are finally leaving the playground out to the world… so, it's exciting and a little scary at the same time, in a good way," said actor Daniel Henney.
"For awhile it just felt like this weird social experiment we were doing in Prague," said actor Marcus Rutherford.
"Because of COVID," said actor Joshua Stradowski. "The shooting was supposed to be nine months, but…with everyone asking questions about it, it makes it real and real. It's, you know, it confirms that we actually made a TV show," he added.
The show is based off Robert Jordan's fantasy book series of the same name, with Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike at the helm.
"I think too often, you know, as women come to the forefront of cinema and TV, they're being asked to just fill the shoes of men, you know, and fight like a man and be like a man and drive like a man. And in this, in this series, we get to see women with a very unique power that is only feminine," explained Pike.
The British actress portrays Moiraine, a member of the mighty all-woman Aes Sedai organization, who embarks on a perilous journey around the world with a group of young men and women. One of them is prophesied to save or destroy humanity.
Although the books came before "The Game of Thrones" series, showrunner Rafe Judkins is aware he needs to make sure the show sets itself apart.
"The tricky thing we have to handle is the things that Robert Jordan actually created first and then got riffed on, on 'Game of Thrones', and now we are coming afterwards. So, a couple of the things we just have to figure out how to tweak to make sure that we don't feel like we're being repetitive, even though the 'The Wheel of Time' version came first in the books," said Judkins.
Pike said GOT was a game changer for the world of fantasy on TV and would be honored if the show generated the same attention.
Jordan's books have won a loyal following since the first, "The Eye of the World", was published in 1990. The series is comprised of 14 volumes, with fellow fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson co-authoring the last three after Jordan died in 2007.
Filming for season two has begun in the Czech Republic.
