  • Story Text: Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday (October 31) appeared to end a dispute over remarks by Sepp Blatter, for which the FIFA president later apologised.
    Launching a new range of underwear in Madrid, Ronaldo declined to comment further on Blatter's comments, which appeared to make fun of the Portuguese star and compare him unfavourably to Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
    The FIFA head's comments at the Oxford University Union in England on Friday sparked an angry response from Ronaldo, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and Real Madrid, forcing Blatter to apologise; he also insisted that he meant no disrespect.
    Asked to comment again a day after Real Madrid's 7- 3 win over Sevilla, in which he scored a hat-trick, Ronaldo said on Thursday: "No, just try to do my, my work best I can. So I just try, try to do good things for the, my club, to score goals, to play, to play well. I'm not response to anyone. I think this is, this is done. I don't want to, I don't want to speak more about that. And everything go well, we win and this is the most important."
    The star then went on to express his fondness for underwear and said he might allow other people to model the range.
