- Story Text: German designer Marcel Ostertag presented his latest spring/summer 2011 collection on the first day of Fashion Week Berlin on Wednesday (July 7).
Although Ostertag is based in the more conservative city of Munich, the designs presented on the catwalk were anything but conservative, featuring an adventurous mix of colours and textures.
Buyers and admirers seemed to enjoy the innovative designs showing a combination of transparent fabrics, flashy colours and rose patterns.
During his studies at St. Martins College in London, Ostertag worked with Paul Smith, Dunhill and Burberry. After he graduated he decided to return to his roots and moved back to Bavaria. He opened up two shops, one in Austria and another one in Munich.
The 7th Mercedes Benz Fashion Week runs until 11 July, featuring labels such as Calvin Klein, Boss Black and many more. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
