And for us it's about keeping that the most important thing, and experience this whole amazing ride together. And as a family we wanted to make the audience feel like they were part of the family for this hour and a half the movie's on. And we're very pleased with the final product." The whole entire crew was so good. We got to get in touch with everybody and really connect with them. But for us, it was so much fun, you know? Being able to show this moment and share this moment with so many people is what we're so excited about." There are a couple moments that I think are pretty funny. I remember in the beginning scene we climb out of an SUV to escape the fans, and I hit my neck so hard that it looked like a giant hickey, really. And I hit my neck so bad, it was scraped really bad. And we tried to cover it up. So if somebody looks really close, you can probably see this red gash on my neck. It wasn't-- It wasn't pretty!" - Story Text: Thousands of fans screamed wildly as the Jonas Brothers walked the red carpet at the Los Angles premiere of their new movie "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience."
The scene unfolded at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
There Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas made their way down the purple carpet posing for photos, talking to the press, and waving to the crowds gathered on both sides of the boulevard outside the cinema.
As usual the brothers greeted each reporter warmly, shaking hands with as many individuals who extended their palms.
They are known for being polite and well-mannered.
Nick, 16, told Reuters that the film will show fans how close they truly are as a family.
"I think what they learned about us in this movie is that we are a close-knit family. And for us it's about keeping that the most important thing, and experience this whole amazing ride together. And as a family we wanted to make the audience feel like they were part of the family for this hour and a half the movie's on. And we're very pleased with the final product."
The film was shot while the pop rock trio were on tour in 2007, drawing in more than one million fans.
In addition to extensive footage of the live shows, the cameras take fans backstage for a behind-the-scenes look at the action-packed lives of the Jonas Brothers when they are not performing.
Kevin, 21, said there were no downsides to having a film crew taping he and his two brothers from the time they woke up in the morning until the time went to bed.
"I think for us, I think that for us there was not really a tough moment. They were so respectful. The whole entire crew was so good. We got to get in touch with everybody and really connect with them. But for us, it was so much fun, you know? Being able to show this moment and share this moment with so many people is what we're so excited about."
But Joe, 19, recalled one particular mishap that resulted in a humorous but embarrassing moment for him personally.
"From this tour you mean? There are a couple moments that I think are pretty funny. It wasn't-- It wasn't pretty!"
The film blends excerpts from the brothers' "Burning Up"
concert tour and features guest performances from Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift.
Lovato shared her thoughts on the experience.
"It started with Camp Rock. And then it didn't end from there.
It's incredible. I wouldn't want to get off this ride for anything."
The Jonas Brothers are basking in virtually non-stop success.
The trio earned a "Best New Artist" nomination for the 2009 Grammy Awards on the heels of winning the "Breakthough Artist" award at the 2008 American Music Awards.
And earlier this month the hugely popular band performed on "Saturday Night Live."
The brothers first gained their popularity from making appearances on the Disney Channel.
They have also toured with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, and the Backstreet Boys.
The New Jersey-born and bred threesome have released three studio albums so far: "It's About Time" (2006), "Jonas Brothers" (2007), and "A Little Bit Longer" (2008).
The band started as a solo project of Nick Jonas, who was discovered while singing at a barber shop when he was just six years old.
The Jonas Brothers made history when they became the first group to sell more than 100,000 digital downloads for three consecutive singles: "Burnin' Up" sold more than 183,000 copies during the first week of sales; "Play My Music" sold more than 109,000; and "Pushin' Me Away" sold more than 116,000.
In addition, "Burnin' Up," "Pushin' Me Away,"
"Tonight," and "A Little Bit Longer" all charted as #1 on the iTunes "Top Songs" Chart. The Brothers are also leaving their mark on pop culture in other ways.
The band was featured on the cover of the July 2008 issue of 'Rolling Stone Magazine'; and they are collaborating with R&B producer Timbaland on his upcoming album "Shock Value 2" on a song called "Dumb."
The soundtrack for the new film was released in record stores on Tuesday (February 24), and the movie will be released on Friday, (February 27).
Disney and Imax have agreed to show it on dozens of giant 3-D screens throughout North America. More than 1,100 3-D venues are expected to play the concert film, including 55 Imax venues.
All the Jonas Brothers film engagements are being promoted as "one week only," though success in the non-Imax venues could spur Disney to add an additional week to the run. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
