I hadn't done it in quite a while, and I needed it, desperately. Especially after "The Happening" and "Lovely Bones," I need to go out there and bust some heads. It was time." WALHBERG ON RED CARPET (SOUNDBITE) (English) MARK WAHLBERG SAYING: "There was not a lot of CGI. Well, you know you get a lot more bumps and bruises. We're putting all the action on film, but it was well worth it. The end result is very satisfying. So we're very proud of it." MILA KUNIS ON RED CARPET (SOUNDBITE) (English) MILA KUNIS SAYING: "I had some shrapnel that popped my ear in the back and burst it: sounds way more dramatic than it actually was. The elevator squib went off too soon and I got a piece in my ear, but because I had foam inside my ear, it popped out. Other than that, it went by super smooth." PRESS TAKING PHOTOS (SOUNDBITE) (English) MILA KUNIS SAYING: "I'm really good with a gun. Like, really good. Much, much better than I think I ever should be." (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHRIS "LUDACRIS" BRIDGES SAYING: "It was written for a 60-year-old white man. I went and auditioned for it and the director called me two days later and told me I had the part. So, you know, just adding something different to the character; that's what I'm all about is picking those diverse roles." RED CARPET NELLY FURTADO TALKING TO REPORTER (SOUNDBITE) (English) NELLY FURTADO TALKING ABOUT ACTING VERSUS SINGING: "I enjoy it. It's something very challenging and quite fun. It's the opposite of being on stage. On stage, it's all extroverted and all about showing off and acting is the opposite: it's like trying to find a peaceful place."

- Story Text: Mark Wahlberg attends the premiere of this his latest film "Max Payne," a videogame based drama. While walking the red carpet, he says it's good to be playing the role of the tough guy again.
Mark Wahlberg walked the red carpet at Hollywood's Mann's Grauman Chinese Theater on Monday (October 13) for the premiere of his latest film, "Max Payne." The videogame based crime drama has Wahlberg taking up his favourite type of role: the 'tough guy'.
"I was looking forward to it. I hadn't done it in quite a while, and I needed it, desperately. Especially after "The Happening" and "Lovely Bones," I need to go out there and bust some heads. It was time," said Wahlberg.
Wahlberg plays Max Payne, a maverick cop who seeks revenge for the murder of his family. While there was some computer-generated imagery (CGI) used in the film, the majority of stunts were actually performed by him and his fellow actors.
"There was not a lot of CGI. Well, you know you get a lot more bumps and bruises. We're putting all the action on film, but it was well worth it. The end result is very satisfying. So we're very proud of it," said Wahlberg.
His costar, actress Mila Kunis, was even slightly injured while on set, but she said there are positives to being your own stunt-person.
"I'm really good with a gun. Like, really good. Much, much better than I think I ever should be," said Kunis.
"Max Payne" also stars rapper-turned-actor Chris "Ludacris" Bridges. Getting a role in the film was a bit of a surprise for him because his character's part was originally written for a much different person.
"It was written for a 60-year-old white man. I went and auditioned for it and the director called me two days later and told me I had the part," said Bridges.
