- Story Text: INTRO: Barbie doll has been getting all "dolled up" for the holidays with the help of some of Beverly Hill's most exclusive retailers.
Some of Beverly Hills' most prestigious designersunveiled their fashion and jewellery creations for Barbie and Ken dolls on Tuesday (December 3) in Beverly Hills, California.
Jewellers Bvlgari, Cartier, Fred Joaillier, Harry Winston and David Winston were among the designers who revealed their new creations in gold, silver and precious gems, including emeralds and rubies.
Gianni Versace, Christian Dior and Fred Hayman were among the designers who swathed Barbie and Ken in an array of fabrics from silk to satin, and patterns from lame to leopard skin.
While Louis Vuitton created a special carrying case, Bottega Veneta and Tiffany's created accessories respectively in leather and silver.
The twenty dolls will be sold on Sunday (December 8) in a special silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation and the Amie Karen Cancer Fund charities.
