- Story Text: With less than four days until election day, former Republican Presidential nominee John McCain traveled to Las Vegas to campaign for Sharron Angle - who is working hard to defeat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
"I'm here tonight because this election will change America," Senator McCain said. "My friends, the 51st vote to give Republicans the majority in the U.S. Senate will come right here from the state of Nevada."
Before several hundred supporters, Angle - a Tea Party favorite- bashed Reid and U.S. President Barack Obama and criticized the Democrats' handling of the U.S. economy.
"It's time to tell Harry Reid to man up and fix this economy," Angle said.
Angle, who was making a rare appearance before reporters, said she knows how to help turnaround Nevada's 14.4% state unemployment rate.
"We have the answers - we as Americans - to what's gone wrong in our economy," Angle said. And they are simple as cut back on the spending."
McCain campaigned for Angle on the last day of early voting in Nevada as polls showed Angle with a slight lead heading into Tuesday's election. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
