- Story Text: The Chairman of the Tripartite Bosnian Presidency, Mladen Ivanic, was welcomed on Thursday (March 16) at the West Bank city of Ramallah by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Ivanic and Abbas later laid a wreath near the tomb of late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
It was the last day of Ivanic's four-day visit to the region during which he also held meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin to discuss enhancement of bilateral ties between the two countries, and visited the Church of the Nativity in the West Bank of Bethlehem, revered as Jesus' birth place.
At a joint news conference, Abbas told reporters that he had been invited to Washington by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Ivanic showed support saying peace would not be achieved as long as the parties were treated equally. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
