- Story Text: Cheryl Cole met the equally perfect wax figure of herself on Wednesday (October 20) at London's Madame Tussauds.
Much to the delight of creator Stephen Mansfield and the X-Factor judge herself, the wax work was unveiled to guests and fans of the world famous attraction's latest celebrity wax addition.
The pop singer, music mentor and fashionista had been an integral part in the creation and especially styling of the figure. Wearing a red replica dress recreated by Jean-Paul Gaultier, long, flowing hair and sparkling accessories, the Cole figure is the final product of a process that took over six months and a team of over twenty artists and sculptors.
Cheryl Cole's wax-cast clone will be set to stand among the many super-star figures that make up the A List Party area at Tussaud's including the recent additions of Russell Brand and Dame Helen Mirren.
"It's going to take a little while to sink in I think. That I've got a Madame Tussaud's wax work, that is pretty amazing," she said at the unveiling.
But when asked if she'd like to be positioned alongside her X-Factor colleague, Simon Cowell, the singer was less enthusiastic.
"No. Keep me away from Simon please. Enough of that," she told told reporters.
Doors are open to the public at Madame Tussaud's where the celebrity's wax work will be on show and will soon be joined by another glamorous A-lister that is still under wraps according to Madame Tussaud's Spokesperson, Liz Edwards. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
