Of course, to try to win we have to do the perfect game. With intensity, with courage, with personality and to use all our quality." NEWS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS (SOUNDBITE) (English) BAYERN MUNICH COACH CARLO ANCELOTTI, ASKED ABOUT JEROME BOATENG AND MATS HUMMELS, SAYING: "Today the training is important for this two players. Lewandowski is ok, he trained yesterday with the rest of the players, he trained well without problem. It's an important test for Jerome and for Mats, they trained yesterday individually but of course we have to have a test on the pitch with a ball. But I think both of them have a lot of opportunity to play." NEWS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) BAYERN MUNICH COACH CARLO ANCELOTTI SAYING: "We are not thinking on what result we need, we are thinking on the kind of match we need to, that's clear. You can never know the result, it's true that Madrid scores in every match but they concede in every match too. But they have an overwhelming offensive play and they are very dangerous." NEWS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) BAYERN MUNICH COACH CARLO ANCELOTTI, ASKED WHO MIGHT PLAY FOR REAL'S INJURED BALE, SAYING: "No, I don't know. Isco is not my player. I have a lot of affection for Isco and I think all the Madrid fans have a lot of affection for Isco. That's a problem for Zizou, if he calls me I can advise him." It was my stadium for five seasons, I enjoyed it a lot, I lived great things and I have a special affection for what I lived here. On tomorrow's match it's clear, we come with disadvantage but we are still alive. We know that tomorrow's match will be complicated for us, we need to win, to score at least two goals but we know how to do it, trying to stop Real Madrid and play our game." NEWS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS (SOUNDBITE) (German) BAYERN MUNICH RIGHT BACK PHILIPP LAHM SAYING: "Obviously we don't want to think we can lose tomorrow. We want to win, it's a difficult task but in past years we have proved we can beat the best teams and that's our goal. Tomorrow we want to show our best qualities to win and reach another stage but you can never know what is going to happen." - Story Text:Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Monday (April 17) his team must play the perfect match in order to beat Real Madrid when they visit the Santiago Bernabeu stadium for the second leg of the Champions League quarter finals on Tuesday (April 18).
Real will be defending a 2-1 lead from the first leg of the quarter-final but the German side will have Polish hitman Robert Lewandowski back after a shoulder injury. He trained on Sunday (April 16) and is poised to return as Bayern look for goals on Tuesday against a Real side that have kept only one clean sheet in their last 12 games.
During the UEFA official news conference that previews the match, former Real coach Ancelotti confirmed that Lewandowski will be on the pitch on Tuesday while Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng will be doubt until tomorrow. Javi Martinez is banned after his first-leg red card.
Real's Gareth Bale is being rested after injury. Ancelotti was asked who he expected to replace Bale. Smiling, he said that that was up to Zizou, Real's coach Zinedine Zidane, but Ancelotti would be happy to suggest a player if Zidane gave him a call.
Midfielder Xabi Alonso said he keeps good memories from the Santiago Bernabeu while Bayern captain Philipp Lahm refused to talk about losing the tie against the current champions. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
