You know, I play these people that are more interesting than I am and have, you know, a journey that I haven't traveled. So, it's kind of a cheap thrill way to do that, to step outside of your comfort zone, to play people that you respect but are different than you."

- Story Text: Julia Roberts stars in "Eat Pray Love" as Liz Gilbert, a thirty-two year old woman who has everything a modern woman could desire but finds herself stuck in an unhappy marriage. In order to turn her life around she decides to divorce her husband and travel the world for a year in search of happiness and true balance in her life.
Roberts said she was looking for a film role that would stretch her creatively.
"Well, I was definitely outside of my comfort zone but, I mean, as an actor that's what you want to go to work for," said Roberts. "It's to find a thing that's challenging and unnerving and far reaching."
Starring alongside Roberts is Javier Bardem as Felipe, the love interest for Roberts' character. Although the film might be seen as a "chick-flick", Bardem thinks it appeals to a much wider audience.
"No, I think the movie speaks to everybody otherwise it wouldn't speak to me when I read it." said Bardem. "I think the movie speaks about people trying to face doubts, fears, insecurities and that relates to everybody."
