- Story Text: Bieber fever heated up New York's Times Square on Wednesday (February 2) as throngs of screaming fans clamored to get a look at Justin Bieber. Fans lined up to see the pop-star at a special screening of his new movie "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never."
The movie is the inspiring true story and rare inside glimpse at the rise of Justin from Canadian street performer in the small town of Stratford, Ontario to internet phenomenon and then global superstar with a dream sold-out show at the famed Madison Square Garden in 3-D.
Daring fans were set to do anything to get close to the singing sensation.
"We were thinking that if his limo pulled up, we could run over there perhaps. Get a little sneak, close up, and then run away. We might get in trouble, but hey, he's famous," said 15-year-old Dyesha Mott.
So far reviews for the film have been favorable, saying that the movie has the ability to make a casual teen fan and the stodgiest of parents complete Justin Bieber converts. Chicago tourists Jennifer Cole and her eight-year-old daughter Rachel were stopped in their tracks by the crowds.
"He's the cutest, hottest guy,"said Rachel.
The family was in New York to celebrate the girl's eighth birthday, which was Tuesday (February 1).
And while many of these fans didn't have tickets for the special screening, they have already marked their calendars for the movie's U.S. premiere on Friday, February 11. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
