- Story Text: Actor Sylvester Stallone says he wants to change his image.
Tiring of his famous action films, Stallone wants to put down his guns in search of more sophisticated roles.
Stallone was speaking at the launch of another restaurant in his Planet Hollywood chain. French actor Gerard Depardieu joined Stallone to inspect the site at Disneyland Paris, outside the French capital.
Stallone was taking a break from the set of his latest film "Daylight", a psychological thriller about people being trapped in a tunnel under New York's Hudson River. The movie is currently being shot at studios in Rome.
He said now that he has changed agents he is seeking only sophisticated projects worthy of the movie-going public and is no longer interested in "regular action films".
Stallone, who holds shares in the Planet Hollywood chain with stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, claims a new restaurant is opening at the rate of one a month around the world.
At the established Paris branch, Belgian actor Jean-Claude Van Damme donated a hockey suit from his new movie "Sudden Death" to the restaurant's collection of memorabilia. The film is to be released in April 1996.
The Disneyland restaurant is expected to open next (northern) spring. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
