- Title: GERMANY: BOXING - Ukrainian boxer Vladimir Klitschko weighs in some 30 pounds heavier than his British opponent David Haye ahead of Saturday's much-awaited fight in the Hamburg
- Date: 2nd July 2011
- Summary: ***CONTAINS FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY*** JOURNALISTS (SOUNDBITE) (English) DAVID HAYE, SAYING: "It was a completely different kettle of fish. He's a champion. He's been in this situation many times. He's stared in the eyes of men who believed they were going to win in the past. He's had enough fights to be able to handle a press conference or weigh-in. He looked confident. But once I start landing my shots and he can't land his, I guarantee he'll start crapping himself." (SOUNDBITE) (German) FRITZ SDUNEK, TRAINER OF VLADIMIR KLITSCHKO, SAYING: "His strength is his speed. His weakness is that he is no real heavyweight and he will not be able to deal with the pressure from Vladimir." (SOUNDBITE) (English) FORMER BOXER, LENNOX LEWIS, SAYING: "This is a fight where Vladimir has to put everything together. He has to believe in himself, he has to listen to Emmanuel Steward and put everything together because we've been waiting for such a long time, for a good fight from Vladimir and hopefully this is a good fight and that we're going to see all his talent come out." (SOUNDBITE) (English) VITALY KLITSCHKO, BROTHER OF VLADIMIR, SAYING: "Lennox Lewis is better than Haye. (JOURNALIST QUESTION) My prediction. This will not be an easy fight, it will be a very interesting fight. Nobody in the world, no expert can predict, every punch can make the decision and that's why you should pay attention for tomorrow night. It's a big battle between Vladimir Klitschko and Haye. Who will win? I believe my brother." JOURNALISTS VARIOUS KLITSCHKO AND HAYE FACING OFF AGAINST EACH OTHER

- Story Text: Ukrainian Vladimir Klitschko weighed in 30 pounds heavier on Friday (July 1) than Britain's David Haye for Saturday's (July 2) world heavyweight reunification title fight.
Klitschko, the reigning WBO, IBF and IBO world champion, tipped the scales at 243lbs (17 stone 5lbs), while Haye, the WBA champion, weighed in at 213lbs (15stone 3lbs).
The two men stared each other out afterwards before Haye broke away.
Speaking to journalists after the weigh-in, Haye didn't seem put off by Klitschko's confidence.
"He's a champion. He's been in this situation many times. he's stared in the eyes of men who believed they were going to win in the past. He's had enough fights to be able to handle a press conference or weigh-in. He looked confident. But once I start landing my shots and he can't land his, I guarantee he'll start crapping himself," he said.
But Vladimir's brother Vitaly said he was certain of a Klitschko victory.
"This will not be an easy fight, it will be a very interesting fight. Nobody in the world, no expert can predict, every punch can make the decision and that's why you should pay attention for tomorrow night. It's a big battle between Vladimir Klitschko and Haye. Who will win? I believe my brother," he said.
Klitschko is four pounds lighter than his last bout against Samuel Peter in 2010, while Haye is 2-1/2 pounds heavier than his last bout against Audley Harrison last November. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
