  • Story Text: Protesters in Washington D.C. took to the streets on Friday (October 28). "Students Occupy DC," a group affiliated with the larger "Occupy" protest movement, held a rally at Washington square just blocks from the White House. The protesters were demonstrating against what they call "abusive and student loaned and student debt policy." They took their complaints to student loan giant Sallie Mae. Protesters scuffled with police outside the organization's Washington office. A larger protest is planned by "Occupy DC" on Saturday.
