This is a great movie, it's very original, very fresh, I loved the concept and the character so the whole thing was a lot of fun." (SOUNDBITE) (English) ANNA KENDRICK, ACTOR, SAYING: "Well, what's great about Ben in this movie is that, even though he is incredibly kind of tall, dark and handsome, you really believe, like, he manages to make you believe that he's dorky and unassuming and people wouldn't necessarily want to talk to him and then there's this charisma that comes through as you get to know his character. I think that's like one of those amazing tricks someone like Ben or Keira Knightley where you're like, 'You're like one of the most beautiful creatures. How did you make yourself unapproachable and homely?' I would say that he is probably one of the sexiest accountants ever but, like, amazingly he doesn't seem super sexy at first in this movie." CYNTHIA ADDAI-ROBINSON POSING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AT 'THE ACCOUNTANT' PREMIERE (SOUNDBITE) (English) CYNTHIA ADDAI-ROBINSON, SAYING: "I think we can give him that title, for sure, but I don't see why somebody that's comfortable with numbers can't also be sexy and own their profession. You've got to give a movie for the accountants out there so they can have their hero moments as well." JOHN LITHGOW POSING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AT 'THE ACCOUNTANT' PREMIERE (SOUNDBITE) (English) JOHN LITHGOW, ACTOR, SAYING: "Well it was a really fun movie to be in and it's my kind of movie. I mean I love tightly plotted, really expertly written scripts, great writing by Bull Dubuque, with surprises and revelations that were jawdropping. I love movies like that." J.K. SIMMONS POSING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AT 'THE ACCOUNTANT' PREMIERE (SOUNDBITE) (English) J.K. SIMMONS, ACTOR, SAYING: "Well, first of all I guess it's okay for me to talk about then if Ben already talked about It. I never know, I get so paranoid about those kinds of movies what you're allowed to say or not. Yes, Ben and I will be working together more I guess and I'm excited to work with him as an actor again and also to work with him on the other side of the camera because I'm a fan of what he does behind the camera as well." (SOUNDBITE) (English) JOHN LITHGOW, ACTOR, SAYING: "You know it is overdue. I'm up for it. I even thought it would be a great idea to do a reunion keyed to this year's politics because if ever there was a Presidential election from Mars, this was it." (SOUNDBITE) (English) BEN AFFLECK, ACTOR, SAYING: "Different superhero movies like 'The Plumber.' I think so. Why not? Those people work harder than the rest of us to tell the truth." (SOUNDBITE) (English) J.K. SIMMONS, ACTOR, SAYING: "No. Way too much work. I like doing what I'm doing and then when I'm not on set doing what I'm doing I like kicking back in my trailer and watching a baseball game." DIRECTOR GAVIN O'CONNOR AND BEN AFFLECK POSING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AT 'THE ACCOUNTANT' PREMIERE (SOUNDBITE) (English) GAVIN O'CONNOR, DIRECTOR, SAYING: "I've been waiting a long time. He's the first guy I went to so when I got the script and starting going through cast lists we happened to be at the same agency and his agent told me that he's available. I didn't even think he was available because he was doing Batman and I'd heard that he was going off to direct a movie." - Story Text: Ben Affleck made number crunching sexy at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest movie, action thriller 'The Accountant' on Monday (October 10).
He plays a math savant who uncooks the books for a new client. However, when the Treasury Department closes in on his activities, the body count starts to rise.
Affleck's co-stars include Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, John Lithgow and Cynthia Addai-Robinson.
Kendrick told Reuters: "What's great about Ben in this movie is that even though he is incredibly tall, dark and handsome, you really believe that he's dorky and unassuming and people wouldn't really want to talk to him but then there's a charisma that comes through."
"He is probably one of the one of the sexiest accountants ever but amazingly he doesn't seem super sexy at first."
Addai-Robinson added: "I think we can give him that title, for sure, but I don't see why somebody that's comfortable with numbers can also be sexy and own their profession. You've got to give a movie for the accountants out there so they can have their hero moments as well."
Affleck, who has been filming superhero ensemble move 'Justice League', joked with Reuters that "The Accountant" could kick off a string of similar movies but about people with regular day jobs instead of special powers.
He said: "Different superhero movies like 'The Plumber.' I think so. Why not? Those people work harder than the rest of us to tell the truth."
Affleck also said it is good to work on a movie that fans aren't constantly trying to mine him for spoilers like they do for his superhero movies.
He told Reuters: "It's good, I like it, it's a nice feeling. This is a great movie, it's very original, very fresh, I loved the concept and the character so the whole thing was a lot of fun."
Co-star John Lithgow also revealed that he's keen to do a revival, or reunion, of the hit sitcom, 3rd Rock from the Sun saying: "You know it is overdue. I'm up for it. I even thought it would be a great idea to do a reunion keyed to this year's politics because if ever there was a Presidential election from Mars, this was it."
