- Story Text: Stars Anna Faris and Chris Evans hit the red carpet Monday night (September 19) in Los Angeles for the premier of their new movie, "What's Your Number?"
The R-rated film offers up a raunchy, but still sweet version of the typical romantic comedy.
"What's Your Number?" stars Faris as Ally Darling, a young woman who embarks on a quest to find the best "ex" of her life, by any means necessary, when she reads a magazine article warning that people who have had 20 or more relationships have missed their chance at true love. She enlists the help of her neighbor, Colin Shea, to join her on her quest.
"We're really excited, it's an R-rated comedy and it's raunchy, fun and funny," explained Faris, who has carved out a solid career in playing America's somewhat dysfunctional girl next-door.
"So, it's exciting for me and just the type of comedy that I want to do," Faris added.
Director Mark Mylod believes the film's topic deserved a more adult-themed approach.
"It needed to be frank," Mylod said. "The story we are telling is a woman's pre-occupation with her sexual history. To do that is any other way than and R-rated frankness would be disingenuous. It would appear dated. I think people are rated to talk about sex in a fun way."
Evans, who is riding high following the summer blockbuster hit "Captain America," said it was just a fun film to make.
"I hated everybody and it was a miserable experience," joked Evans. "No, it was fantastic, everyone got along phenomenally well, really well. I know every movie says that but we got along really well."
"What's Your Number?" also stars Blythe Danner, Zach Quinto and Ed Begley Jr..
