- Story Text: Fans of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund gathered in London's Trafalgar Square on Saturday (May 25), walking around the tourist sights of Nelson's column and its fountain pools.
British police were joined by members of a contingent of German police, lending their expertise.
Dortmund fan Max was full of confidence for his team, generally termed the underdogs.
"I don't think a decisive player will be necessary," he said. "The whole team will be decisive, Dortmund plays as a team, and that is why we will win, 11 men are important, not just one. Otherwise we would have to be sad about Mario Goetze, which we aren't, there are 11 men on the pitch, and with the fans, it's a twelfth man, and that will bring us to the victory."
Bayern Munich supporter Peter had flown to London early in the morning to see his team attempt to win the first all-German Champions League final.
"I am really excited," he said. "I arrived today, I took a flight at seven o'clock in the morning and we are three guys and lots of fans together and all from Bavaria - and we will win."
The fans with tickets, like Peter, will move off later in the afternoon to travel to Wembley stadium for the match. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
