- Story Text: The French celebrated the ninetieth anniversary of their film industry in Paris on December 28 with an exhibition of historic films and photographs. The exhibition was held at the Hotel Scribe up to January 5. Films on show to the public ranged from the historic to the comical and included documentaries dating from 1895 to 1905, relating to the histories of France, Algeria, Tunisia, Germany, England, Italy, the Soviet Union, and North America. Also on display was film equipment used throughout the nineteenth century, including movie projectors, viewfinders and a revolving kaleidoscope dated 1834. The exhibition was compiled by the director of the Lyons film institute, Bernard Chardere.
