- Story Text: Representatives from China, France and Turkey said that their embassy personnel had not been hurt in the Kabul blast on Wednesday (May 31) although multiple buildings had been damaged by the explosion in the Afghan capital.
Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu said that they were thinking of evacuating part of their staff from the building because of the repairs that would be needed.
China's Foreign Ministry condemned the attack and said that they were willing 'to work with Afghanistan and the international community to together strike against terrorism.'
A powerful bomb hidden in a sewage tanker exploded in the morning rush hour in the centre of Kabul on Wednesday, police said, killing at least 80 people and wounding hundreds.
The victims appeared mainly to have been Afghan civilians.
The bomb, one of the deadliest in Kabul, comes at the start of the holy month of Ramadan. - Copyright Holder: POOL (CAN SELL)
