- Story Text: The exterior of Cardiff Castle has been transformed as the city prepares to welcome the Champions League final on June 3.
A large blue dragon sits on top of one of the turrets with a replica Champions League trophy. There are also banners for each of the 32 teams which featured in this season's competition.
It's not the first time the castle has been used to promote a sporting event - in 2015 a large rugby ball was placed on the exterior of the castle during the Rugby World Cup.
On June 3, Juventus will play Real Madrid at the National Stadium of Wales.
The 75,000-capacity stadium has hosted English FA Cup finals, Rugby World Cup matches, various Six Nations matches as well as sell-out concerts.
It's reported that up to 170,000 fans will be in the city over the weekend which will also host the Women's Champions League final at the Cardiff City Stadium on June 1. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
