- Story Text:Eight people, including four children, are in serious condition among 28 French citizens injured in the attack in Barcelona, Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Friday (August 18).
Le Drian, who was speaking in the Catalan capital after visiting some of the injured, said the total was still preliminary as local authorities had yet to identify all the victims of Thursday's (August 17) attack.
Spain on Friday mounted a sweeping anti-terror operation after a suspected Islamist militant drove a van into crowds in Barcelona's tourist hotspot Las Ramblas, killing 13 people before fleeing, in what police suspect was one of multiple planned attacks. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
