(SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) BRANSON SAYING "We're obviously marginally disappointed that we didn't make it the whole way, we really thought we had it in our grasp and then we hit this wall of bad weather and we just couldn't get the balloon through it...but here we are in Hawaii and looking forward to going home and seeing our families since it's Christmas Day.......when we landed we were just dragged for miles and miles and then water was starting to come into the capsule and we were fortunate to throw ourselves away from it." 13.SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) FOSSETT ASKED AT WHAT POINT DID HE DECIDE THEY WERE GOING TO DITCH "Oh, in the middle of the night we decided it was a hopeless situation and we decided we would take the opportunity to fly as close as we could to Hawaii to make an easy rescue".... REPORTER ASKS WHAT THE LANDING WAS LIKE, FOSSETT REPLIES "We were dragged for at least a couple of miles and probably bounced 50 times before the balloon finally settled down...so that we could get outside the capsule and jump into the water" 14.(SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) LINDSTRAND ASKED BY REPORTER WHAT GOES THROUGH YOUR MIND WHEN YOU ARE BEING PULLED ACROSS THE WATER "Oh, a lot of things - we shouldn't have been there in the first place because there is an explosive release which cuts the envelope and it has six pins - we couldn't get them out before the landing because of the bad weather and freezing conditions so we had to take the chance and drag the balloon up - the choice would have been parachuting and the swells didn't look that bad, but when we came down the swells were horrendous" 15. (SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) BRANSON SAYS: "It's mixed feelings, obviously we'd all love to be with our families and with our children, on the other hand I think our children understand why we're doing what we're doing, it's the most incredible adventure and something which we're sharing with our children and hopefully with all other children around the world." 19.
